Zeal was founded in 1982 to offer a sub-contract service to the Electronics Industry. We have no product of our own which means that all our efforts and experience is committed to our customer. We can give each customer what they require, that is a fast efficient service and complete trust in our respect for the customers confidentiality.

We have always believed that by spreading overheads over a wide customer base we can provide a cost effective service to each of our customers. Indeed we are usually able to charge a customer a rate for assembly which is cheaper than their own internal costs.

Located in Chesterfield on a site occupying approximately 7200 sq feet we are centrally positioned to provide a fast responsive service to most areas of the country. Our staff of more than 30 employees are skilled in a wide range of products which includes Amplifiers, Equalisers and Modems for the communications industry, Fire Alarms for the construction trade, and Water Descaling Units for industrial and domestic markets.

The services we offer include cable assemblies, coil winding, component procurement and pre-production design. We also have a fully automatic surface mount SIEMENS pick and place machine, together with reflow oven and screen printing equipment.

Apart from the above and all of the other equipment one would expect to find for the assembly of electronics, we also have a very capable computerised engraving facility.

Our quality system is BS EN ISO9002:1994 approved and are approved by BABT for the manufacture of modems for connection to telephone lines. We are an approved supplier to British Telecom and have many of our own variants of BT Amplifiers and Equalizers technically approved for supply to British Telecom.
